Well
season 5 is in the can as they say. We finished filming on Nov. 14 and many a tear were shed…predominantly by Stacey
and I. Who knows the fate of the show beyond this. Everyone is surely hoping for season 6 though! So I’ve become REALLY
bad about responding to emails, I know guys. But I’m doing my best to send an autograph to everyone who requests and
hopefully now that the season is done I’ll be able to do some serious email response-age. Some good news to report to
ya… I’m going into production on a new CBC Movie of the Week entitled Bookey’s Mark. It’s a really
sweet project with tons of heart so that should be a lot of fun. AND my good friend ms farber is in it as well. If you haven’t
heard yet there is a trailer up for Take The Lead! I think it looks great! I’d love to hear feedback from you guys but
I really think it is something you’ll love. Go to www.theleadmovie.com to watch. Did you check out the new pics in my
gallery? There are some cute ones in there from the past year or so…me hanging out with my girls, some stuff from the
Live 8 concert, the season 4 wrap party, my New York City Trip with Adamo. I took a bunch on the last few days of production
so I’ll get those up when I can. I need to give a little shout out now. I was wandering around on the net the other
day and came across a site that just made me so happy. www.lauren-collins.net. I dunno who’s out there that made this
incredibly sweet and jam-packed website. But it’s totally awesome.one question, how’d you get my yearbook pic!
LOL. So the Gemini’s were this past Saturday and sadly we didn’t win for Best Dramatic Series but it was still
a fun night and The Eleventh Hour deserved the award, it was a fantastic show. The night made me realize how many talented
and dedicated people there are working in the Canadian television industry and I'm really proud to be a small part it. There
are tons of great shows out there: This Is Wonderland, Regenisis, renegadepress.com., Slings and Arrows etc. and of course
Degrassi...and speaking of Degrassi the first part of Lexicon of Love is airing this Monday on CTV. Hope you like it.

TECHNICAL
DIFFICULTIES! I don’t want to make up a ton of excuses for why I haven’t posted a diary in a bazillion years BUT
my website has been experiencing some technical problems (for maybe half of those bazillion years previously mentioned). Anyway,
I’m back and I hope everyone is doing well and isn’t too sad that this fantastic summer is coming to a close.
So many things to tell you guys about….not sure where to begin. We’ve already shot THIRTEEN episodes of Degrassi
season 5 and within the next two months they’ll begin airing in Canada and the U.S.
As intense as ever-but I’m sure I didn’t need to tell you that. Those promos on The-N are doing a pretty good
job! Figured out who all the voices are yet?? Actually, I haven’t seen anything completed from season 5 either. We have
our special cast and crew screening coming up next week which we are all pretty pumped for. I want to thank everyone who voted
for Degrassi at the Teen Choice Awards last month. As you know by now, it paid off and WE WON!!!!! I’m still waiting
to see the infamous surf board. I think Stace and Aubs did a stellar job of representing us on the red carpet. Check out pics
of them looking good on the net if you haven’t already. Slightly less publicized but equally important is another award
we won down south, The Television Critics Award. While the Teen Choice was all about the fans, this one was about being recognized
by industry professionals so you can imagine why we were rather hyped about it! Mall tours in full swing! Stace and I kicked
things off in Orlando and a big thank you to everyone who
came out. Not allowed to make any official announcements but, schedules permitting, Adamo and I are trying to get to one of
the remaining dates. The two of us have never done a publicity trip together so keep your fingers crossed for us! Word has
gotten out that earlier this summer I was working on a film here in Toronto.
It is called TAKE THE LEAD and it stars Antonio Banderas, Alfre Woodard and Rob Brown. Not sure about a release date yet but
there will be tons of announcements when I find out. I’m extremely excited about it. For all of you Toronto locals! The evening of Friday, September 9th at Indigo @ Yonge and Eglinton will
be host to a special Degrassi book signing that I happen to be attending. You should try and come out to get your copy of
the new book, Degrassi Generations. It’s a great read for the serious Degrassi fan. On a serious note, I would like
to take a moment to express my heartfelt concern and hope to those suffering in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Around the
world people’s thoughts are with you and I encourage those who can to donate to the Red Cross. Remember, every little
bit helps. Alright, think that is everything for now. Busy month coming up. Four concerts I’m rather excited about….Bloc
Party, Jack Johnson, Interpol and Death Cab. IF YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT THE NEW DEATH CAB ALBUM TAKE A TIP FROM SETH COHEN AND
I, GO GET IT!!!!! Cheers, Lauren

Happy
New Year!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone had a really happy and healthy holiday and took the time to relax, eat lots of good food,
and spend time with loved ones. And I hope you are all sticking to your New Year's Resolutions! My holiday was awesome! My
friends were home from university so we had lots of time to catch up and then I took a post New Year's trip down to L.A. which was tons of fun. For those of you who haven't already seen
it, in the February issue of Seventeen magazine (with Jamie Lynn Spears on the cover) there is an article about me that I'm
so thrilled with. It's really personal and close to my heart so I hope you all have a chance to check it out. To my fellow
Canadians... Degrassi has switched days on CTV and can now be seen Monday's at 8:30 with new episodes starting tonight, January
17th. We've been noticing that in a lot of the letters and e mails you guys send me (which I appreciate SO much!!) you have
a lot of questions about my favourite things like music, clothes, movies etc. so we thought we would start something new on
the website where I let you know my favourite things at the moment! Here goes! Movie- Finding Neverland. I can't decide what
I like best about this movie....the fact that it is about one of my favourite childhood books Peter Pan, that it stars Johnny
Depp or that it introduced me to the amazing new talent Freddie Highmore. CD- Modest Mouse-Good News For People Who Love Bad
News. I know the CD has been out for a while but I just picked it up and cannot stop listening! DVD- Sex and the City Season
6 Part 2. I never watched the show when it originally aired but I've since bought every single DVD. I was first in line the
day the final one came out and oh how I love my Carrie.....and Charlotte, and Miranda, and Samantha! Clothing Item- I picked
up a pair of Life Nature Love sweatpants in downtown Toronto
and have barely taken them off since. Remember this website is for YOU so be sure to let us know if there are other things
you would like to see here or in "Lauren's Favourite Things". Hope you guys enjoy! xoxo Lauren

anger venting album. I highly recommend! Thats all for now xoxo Lauren

Hey
guys! Sorry it's been a while since my last entry...been a little bit busy. So since I last wrote the Canadian mall tours
have finished up. I was in Vancouver a few weeks ago and had
such goodtimes with Stacey, Andrea and Aubrey. We got to see the city a little bit...shopped on Robson...ate in Yaletown...had
an interview with Vicki Gabereau-crammed a lot into 2 days. I can't wait to go back there and hopefully stay a little longer!
Thanks to everyone who came to the Richmond Centre. I also heard from the cast that the Calgary,
Toronto and Halifax dates were
huge successes. We are busy finishing up the season over at Degrassi...I can't believe that we are filming our last two episodes.
This year went by SO fast! I'm sure you have all heard about our special guest star KEVIN SMITH (!!!!!!!!) who will be joining
us for a three episode arc to close the season. For those of you who don't know him, he's a super-talented director/writer/actor
and just all around hilarious guy. If you haven't seen any of his movies I highly recommend them....but be advised....adult
language and subject matter!! :) Some good news to report! The Gemini Awards (for the American's reading this the Gemini's
are the Canadian equivilant to the Emmy's) recently announced their nominees and I was lucky enough to receive a nomination
in the Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program catergory. The nomination was for my work in a show called Renegadepress.com
in which I had a guest starring role. Renegadepress.com airs on TVO on Sunday nights. Funny thing is that I'm up against Jake
Epstein for his work on Degrassi! Hopefully in the near future I'll get some of my personal pictures from Vancouver and my last few days on set for this season up on the site because I'm sure you
guys are bored of the pics that are already up. Also, check out www.thestarscoop.com for a recent interview that I did. Thanks
for visiting XOXO Lauren

HEY
EVERYONE!!!!! OK this is my first official entry so I want to start off by thanking everyone who has already come to check
out the site and is putting up with the whole "under construction" thing. I''m pretty busy these days so it may take a while
before everything is totally updated. But I have been checking my e mail and let me just say, you guys are awesome!! I''m
gonna try and write back when I can. Well I just got home from Chicago
yesterday. I was there with Stacey Farber (who I''m sure you all know plays Ellie Nash on the show) for "The Scene Mall Tour"
The turnout was unreal and I want to thank everyone who came out! Hopefully I''ll have some pictures up soon from the event.
If you missed out on the mall events there is one date left...next week in Boston but I''m not gonna be there :( because I''m
filming! We are already on episodes 417/418! I can''t believe it, this year seemed to go by so fast Well I guess that''s all
for now but I''ll be writing more soon!! xoxo Lauren
